Gulnaar, Kala Cotton Ajrakh Corset
An age-old craft, reimagined for today.
Gulnaar brings the warmth of traditional Indian textiles into a striking contemporary silhouette.
Made from handwoven Kala cotton, the corset is carefully hand-block printed in Ajrakh using natural dyes. The rich red base is layered with intricate Ajrakh motifs, creating a piece that feels deeply rooted yet distinctly modern.
The natural texture of Kala cotton gives the structured corset an understated, tactile quality, while the bold colour and traditional print make it a statement piece that can move effortlessly beyond occasion dressing.
Gulnaar is our way of making heritage feel relevant to the way we dress today.

Craft Note
Tradition, one block at a time.
Hand block printing is a traditional textile craft in which intricately carved wooden blocks are dipped in colour and carefully stamped onto fabric to create beautiful patterns. Each impression adds another layer to the design, bringing rhythm and character to the textile.
At Ruaish, we bring this age-old craft into contemporary silhouettes, allowing traditional prints to find their place in modern wardrobes.
Subtle variations in print placement and pattern are a natural part of the hand-printing process, making each piece uniquely its own.
